I Deleted 5 Extensions and Replaced Them with This One
My Chrome browser used to look like a Christmas tree. I had an extension for screenshots. An extension for OCR. An extension for YouTube summaries. An extension for reading mode. An extension for... I don't even remember.
It was slow. It was ugly. And half of them were stealing my data (probably).
Then I installed Eyesme Extension. And I started deleting things.
The "All-in-One" Myth
Usually, when a tool claims to do everything, it does everything badly. The "Jack of all trades, master of none."
But Eyesme is different because it's built on a simple core idea: Understanding what's on your screen.
Whether it's a video, a PDF, an image, or a website, Eyesme sees it and lets you talk to it.
What I Replaced
1. The Screenshot Tool
Gone. Eyesme's screenshot feature is built-in, and it's smarter because it extracts the data instantly.
2. The YouTube Summarizer
Gone. Why have a dedicated button just for YouTube? Eyesme lives in the sidebar and handles videos perfectly.
3. The OCR Tool
Gone. I don't need a separate tool to copy text from images. Eyesme does it natively.
4. The "Reader View"
Gone. If a page is cluttered, I just ask Eyesme to "Summarize this article." I don't even need to read the page anymore.
Why Minimalism Matters
A cluttered browser leads to a cluttered mind. Having 20 icons staring at you is distracting.
Switching to one powerful tool has made my browsing experience cleaner, faster, and surprisingly, more peaceful.
The Verdict
If you're a tool hoarder like me, do yourself a favor. Audit your extensions. If you can replace 3 of them with Eyesme, do it.
Your RAM will thank you.
Get Eyesme Extension and clean up your digital life.
