What browsers does Eyesme Extension support?
Eyesme Extension currently supports Google Chrome. Support for other browsers (Edge, Firefox, etc.) is planned for future releases.
How do I install Eyesme Extension?
Visit the Chrome Web Store, search for "Eyesme Extension", and click "Add to Chrome". After installation, you'll see a draggable floater with the Eyesme logo that you can position on either side of your browser.
How do I log in to Eyesme Extension?
Click the Eyesme Extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup, then navigate to the options page. You can log in using either email link authentication or Google account authorization.
What can I do with the floater?
The floater is your main access point. Click it to choose between Chatbot (for AI conversations, page summaries, and YouTube video analysis) or Screenshot (for capturing and analyzing screen regions). You can drag it to either side of your browser for easy access.
How do I take a screenshot?
You can take a screenshot in three ways: 1) Click the floater and select "Screenshot", 2) Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+X (Mac), or 3) Right-click on any webpage and select "Take Screenshot for AI".
Can I summarize YouTube videos?
Yes! Navigate to any YouTube video page, click the floater and select "Chatbot", then ask to summarize the video. Eyesme Extension will automatically extract the video transcript and generate a comprehensive summary.
What permissions does Eyesme Extension need?
Eyesme Extension requires permissions to read web page content (for analysis and summarization), access YouTube (for processing video content), and take screenshots (for the screenshot analysis feature). We respect your privacy and only process content when you explicitly request it.
I can't see the floater after installation. What should I do?
Check Chrome's extension management page (chrome://extensions) to ensure Eyesme Extension is enabled. You may need to pin it to your toolbar. The floater should appear automatically after installation. Try refreshing the page or restarting Chrome if needed.
